READ partners with adult learners in Dickson County and the surrounding communities who desire to improve their literacy skills. We provide resources and tutoring to help learners reach their academic and life goals.
We work to spread literacy awareness in the community and to promote the community’s participation in the activities of READ.
We recruit and tutor English-speaking and/or non-English speaking adults who are eighteen years of age and older and need improvement in speaking, reading, and writing skills.
We rely on volunteer tutors to work with our students.
Our vision is to support adult learners in their journey to achieve their literacy, academic, and life goals.
